10. What is your favorite memory of Judy Garland?

When I first got to MGM, I used to have to take the bus to the studio, and one day I was sitting waiting for the bus in the rain and this big limousine pulled up and the door opened. I heard this unmistakable voice say, "Will ya get in the car?" It was Judy!  I hadn't met her yet and she really didn't know me except she knew I was a new contract player on the lot.  She was one of my idols, so you can imagine how I felt getting in the back of this limousine with her. It was all I could do to keep myself from asking her to sing.  From that day on Judy would pick me up in her limo and take me to the studio, and if she left around the same time as me, she'd drive me home.  Even if she weren't working, she'd send her driver to pick me up.  It was the beginning of a close friendship.

11. Which of your characters are you the most like?

Jo from Little Women

12. What movie do you wish you could have made?

Royal Wedding (had to drop out of the movie because of her pregnancy with son Ricky,) All About Eve and Johnny Belinda (MGM wouldn't let her do the latter two because they weren't MGM films.)

13. What movie do you regret making?

Remains To Be Seen (I love Angela Landsbury and Van, but I don't like that picture) and The Three Musketeers (I thought I looked ridiculous in the period costumes, like a little girl trying to play dress-up.)

14. What actor/actress did you not have a chance to star with, but always wanted to?

Fred Astaire

15. Do you have a favorite television program?

Law & Order and Touched By An Angel. I also loved Mad About You!

16. Who is your favorite singer?

Rosemary Clooney

17. What type of film was more difficult to make, a musical, a comedy or a drama?

I would say an emotional film like The Stratton Story or The Glenn Miller Story.

18. Who was your favorite co-star?

Jimmy Stewart

19. If any event in your life could be altered, what would it be?

Losing Richard (Dick Powell,) but then you see something good always happens, I met David. David always says Richard sent him to me.   I think he's right.

20. Out of all your leading men, excluding Dick Powell and David Ashrow, who was the best kisser?

Sorry, we promised we'd keep the answer to this question a secret. Who do you think? Let us know.  Email us at  Joonangel2@yahoo.com.

21. Who were your idols?

Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

22. What made you want to become an actress?

I had a very bad accident at age 8 which killed my dog and totaled my bike, not to mention me! The doctors said I might never walk again. Because of the respect I gained for my doctors, I aspired for a time to become one myself. But after seeing Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in "The Gay Divorcee" seventeen times, those thoughts were then replaced with dreams of someday filling Ginger's shoes... A girl can dream!

23.  Of all your films, which one is your favorite?

I have three: Little Women, The Glenn Miller Story and Good News.
